TERRITORIAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION

- a collegial body formed in accordance with the procedure and within the time limits specified by law, organizing and providing for the preparation and conduct of elections.

TI are formed on the basis of proposals of political parties, electoral blocs that nominated lists of candidates admitted to the distribution of deputy mandates in the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the legislative (representative) body of state power of the relevant constituent entity of the Russian Federation, and public associations.

TIK is formed in accordance with the law no later than 35 days after the official publication (publication) of a decision on the appointment of an election or referendum. At the same time, the election commission of a constituent entity of the Russian Federation establishes and publishes the deadline for accepting proposals on its composition, which can not be less than one month.
