CRIMINAL LAW

- A normative legal act adopted by the supreme legislative body of the country in response to the will of the people, which has supreme legal force, consisting of interrelated legal norms which establish the general provisions of criminal law, certain types of crimes and provided for these acts of punishment, as well as the conditions of release from criminal liability and punishment.

Application W. C is possible only within the criminal legal relations, ie, the relations that arise between the person who committed the crime, and

law enforcement authority of the State to apply the law.

Russian W. C has the following features:

1) is the result of the criminal law-making state, has supreme legal force;

2) contains penal provisions, ie, rules of conduct that are mandatory for all citizens and organizations;

3) contains provisions on the limits of criminal law;

4) based on the norms of the Constitution and the norms, principles of international law;

5) is the only source of criminal law, since it is not recognized as sources of criminal law, by-laws, the results of prosecutorial activity, guiding explanations of the Plenum of the Supreme Court.
