URUSOV ALEXANDER IVANOVICH

Short biography: was born in My April 2, 1843. He studied U. in the 1st Moscow Gymnasium; In 1861, Mr .. U. entered the University of Moscow, from which would later be excluded in connection with participation in mass riots, then was adopted again, graduating from the Faculty of Law; Further he entered the department.

Achievements: known as a talented defender, in the case of the peasant woman Volokhovoy, U. became in 1867, in which he, in the words of AF. Koni, destroyed, "by the power of feeling and the subtlety of parsing evidence, a serious and serious charge."

In 1868, Mr .. U. went to the assistants of a sworn attorney, and in 1871 received the title of sworn attorney. In 1871, Mr .. U. "acted" in the famous Nechayevsky case in St. Petersburg, defended Uspensky, Volkonsky, etc., where "acted" with unchanged success. In 1901, U.'s lawyer activity was interrupted for a long time. U. had to settle in Verdun and only three years later entered the office of Governor-General, then, as a friend of the prosecutor, to the judicial department, first in Warsaw, then in St. Petersburg, acting with great success as a prosecutor.

And only in 1881 U. returned to the bar and became a sworn advocate in

St. Petersburg, and since 1889 - in Moscow. Being in his articles an ardent supporter of artistic creativity, U. participated in several time-based publications under the pseudonym Alexander Ivanov. U. dropped the best years of judicial reform, tk. He was one of the most outstanding Russian judicial speakers.
