Freedom of conscience and religion

- Set the RF Constitution guarantees provided SS and B. (freely choose, possess and disseminate religious and other convictions and act in accordance with them).

SS and B belongs to all people and does not depend on the civil persons belonging.

It is not allowed to establish privileges, restrictions or other forms of discrimination based on religious beliefs.

Citizens of the Russian Federation are guaranteed the right to replace military service with alternative civilian service, if their beliefs and religion are contrary to military service.

S. and V. includes:

1) a person's right not to reveal their attitude to religion;

2) to freely participate in religious rites;

3) the right to freely exercise their right to SS and V .;

4) the right to secrecy of confession. The state does not have the right to:

1) intervene in the citizen's attitude to religion and religious affiliation, in the upbringing of children by parents or persons substituting them, in accordance with their beliefs, and taking into account the rights of the child in the SS and V .;

2) impose on religious associations duties of public authorities, other government agencies, public institutions and local governments;

3) interfere with the activities of religious associations if their activity does not contradict the constitutional order of the Russian Federation;

4) to enter as a compulsory religious education in state and municipal educational institutions.

Religious associations do not participate:

1) in the exercise of powers of public authorities, other government agencies, public institutions and local governments;

2) in the elections to the bodies of state power and local self-government;

3) in the activities of political parties and political movements, providing them with material and other aid.
