With each new update, World of Tanks developers are introducing more and more new game cards. But such an old map as Himmelsdorf will be remembered by players for life. Why? The fact is that when the future tankman is just beginning to be imbued with a game, he gets only to Malinovka and Rudniki . Buying tanks level above, he opens the whole variety of the world of tanks. And the first card, which he gets after the "sandbox" is Himmelsdorf. The size of the map is 600 by 800 meters.

Himmelsdorf, or as tankers call her "Khimki", the very first city card that was introduced in the very first versions of the game. To many, it is hateful, but after the introduction of such a new game mode as "Counter Strike," the map has changed. There was a kind of diversity for each type of equipment. Let's take a closer look at the tactics of fighting on such a city map.

If you look from a bird's eye view to the map, you can see three main directions: the mountain, located on the zero line; The railway, stretched on the first and second lines; And on the seventh and eighth lines you can see a convex passage, often called the "Banana".

Upper base.

Mountain.

Initially, in the standard battle, the direction of the mountain was pushed through the middle tanks , but with the change in the combat mode, the rest of the equipment began to climb the mountain, since this became the main place of combat. Therefore, if you play on a heavy , medium tank or PT-ACS - this is your direction, where you must go and help your allies.

Climbing the mountain, you will see an old dilapidated castle, around which the battle itself is conducted. You can drive up to the square E0 and hold the direction, playing through the tower and using the sides. Thanks to a small mound of stones, you can hide your body behind it. Stand up so that the angle between your side and this embankment is as large as possible. This will increase the chance of not breaking through or ricocheting, and, taking advantage of the right moment, you can ride out and hand out the damage to your opponents. Playing with magnificent angles of guidance and a strong tower, as you approach the mountain, shoot off the enemy tanks. So you get only bounce messages, but then help your team.

Also, you have at your disposal another part of the castle in the square E9. It is there that the medium and heavy tanks of the enemy will try to pass, which you will have to prevent in every possible way. Tank tower or board there does not work, so it's best to go out with three or four allies and squeeze this side of the castle. Thus, you will allow your allies playing on medium tanks to call at the rear of the enemy and help squeeze this flank.

Due to the fact that the overwhelming majority of players always go to the mountain, killing all the enemy tanks on the mountain, you can consider the battle victorious.

Railway.

At the very beginning of the battle, it's not worth to go to the railroad for heavy and medium tanks. Light tanks can be on duty here   Or PT-ACS, which at the first danger will light the enemy. But the situation can worsen due to the fact that now a single base is located exactly here, in squares E1 and E2. Therefore, opponents, noticing the possibility of losing, can come to the base and begin to seize it. The base in the counter combat mode is captured within four minutes. So you have enough time to descend from the mountain and shoot down the base. The base is fired from all sides, so it is extremely dangerous to start capturing it at the beginning of the battle. Thus, you can deprive your team of a reliable player and good damage dealt.
In order to knock down the capture of your base and give the team a small chance to win, you can stand in the square of B1 or D2 where you will perfectly see the exciting tank, and the artillery or anti-tank installation will help you if necessary.

Banana.

Unfortunately, a banana is almost unnecessary, because this is not a standard fight. But not infrequently heavy tanks or PT-SAU, which are not needed on the mountain because of their size, can go into the "banana" and hold back there direction from the enemies. Usually such tanks can be E-100 , Maus or JgPZe100 .
There is a very cunning move, when you can drive through the "banana" and go to the enemy in the rear in the midst of the battle. Thus, you will help your allies and claim for victory.

Playing a light tank, you need to light the artillery. But how do you know where it is? The main place of position of the ACS on this map is either near the base or in the corner on the railway. The fastest way you can drive is through the "banana".

As everyone knows, many artillerymen simply hate this card, since almost no place here is being shot through by it. But you can stand behind the hangar on the railway in square A2 or near the base in A5. There you will be able to see and help your allies who are defending themselves on the mountain. Just be careful: because of the big splash, you can kill your ally.
And so, basically, for artillerymen in Himmelsdorf the only chance for survival is a fight in the PT mode, as on an ordinary tank.

Lower base.

From the location of the bases, your tactic does not change in any way, since their arrangement is mirrored. All medium and heavy tanks should also go to the mountain, and light tanks should be illuminated on the railway. But now, unlike the upper base, the mountain is on your right hand, and the railway on your left.

For artillerymen, it is more difficult to play with this base, since they have nothing to hide on the railway. So the only place you will be safely hidden from an enemy firefly is your base. Here you can help your allies on the mountain, inflicting damage on the enemy tanks.
