Erlenberg - Counter encounter WOT Guide

Erlenberg is an open card, perfect for all types of vehicles. The mode of oncoming battle is interesting because it is not the tactical component of the team that wins here, but the skill of the players, the ability to use their tank to the destination. So, let's talk about the obstacles for each type of equipment.

Light tanks (LT)

LT is fast, but not so much as to reach the far bridge (in order to destroy the artillery) before the enemy PT. In rare cases, light tanks manage to break through them. The way along the central bridge is risky: the enemy's CTs by this time usually manage to take positions on the mountain and can intercept the scouts. The most common tactic is to travel to the enemy half of the field on the nearest bridge, pass at the foot of the mountain or behind the mountain and detect enemy artillery. The main task of light tanks is the lightning of opponents, and the annihilation of the annoying artillery of the enemy.

Medium tanks (CT)

The medium tanks on Erlenberg have two main routes: through their bridge to the enemy mountain or through their own mountain to the enemy bridge. Medium tanks should use their advantage in speed and quickly change the attack vector, if it stumbles upon the enemy's hard defenses. It will be very useful if one of the medium tanks rises to capture the base, hiding behind a house or a small hill. This will force the opponent to reconfigure their actions to shoot down the capture, and possibly (as often happens) and force the opponent to make mistakes, for which he will pay for his equipment.

Heavy tanks (TT)

Heavy tanks usually go along their mountain, as they do not always have time to overcome the open space between their bridge and the enemy's mountain. Several cars can go to the central bridge and threaten the enemy from there, restraining his forces. But it is better to send a few strands to the center, together with a pair of medium tanks. This will not only increase the chance of winning, but it will probably lead to this very victory.

Anti-tank Self Propelled Artillery Plants (PT SAU)

PT SAU begin the battle near their bridge. Usually they stay in this area or climb their mountain and take up positions behind houses or in the castle. The best positions in the mode of oncoming battle will be: slides and a castle. From there you can not only illuminate approaching enemies, but also strike at enemies while remaining unpunished.

Self-propelled Artillery Systems (ACS)

The most advantageous position for the ACS are the forests in the corners of the map (squares A0 and J1). From there artillery can keep under fire all the arrivals and departures from the bridge. If the Allies have established complete control over their mountain, then the artillery gets freedom of movement on its half of the map, which puts the enemy in an extremely difficult position.
