I would like to talk about the map "Westfield" in the World of Tanks. The card itself appeared long enough, even with the release of the patch 0.6.3. The first impressions of the map were rather ambiguous. The players waited for the new card for a long time and when it finally appeared, it was some disappointment. The size of the map is 1000 by 1000 meters, the level of fights is from 4 to 11. But this is always so, as soon as something new appears.

Well, enough about feelings, let's go directly to the description itself. From the aesthetic side, the map looks very beautiful: it is filled with greenery, dense vegetation, a lot of buildings. All this creates some spring mood. But from the tactical and strategic side - Westfield is quite complicated. Conditionally, the card can be divided into upper Westfield and lower. If you take part in a random battle, then hear from your teammates "Well, what? Where are we going? "Can be extremely rare. There are not so many points on it where the main tank battles take place. If we analyze the battles that occur in a random house, then in principle the following picture emerges.

Tactics.

Tanks appear on the map in two places on the same base. Usually heavy tanks and art appear in the upper part, and st, lit and pt - in the lower part. As for the latter, they are repaired, in principle, randomly, but often this trend. Heavy tanks   They are fighting in the "town". And it is better to go there less maneuverable strands (such as IS-4 , Myshenku or E-100 ). "Seven" is also better to hide from the artillery fire behind the houses. You can of course and drive his "heavy st" to the point of the hill, but having a very bad vertical angle of the trunk, it will be there it is not sweet. It is better to send " amers " to the point of a hill - they have a good bent in the trunk, and they can also do a good job there. Cover the point of the hill you need Fri and art . Today, little can be said about the battles at the point, basically all the zavorokha is tied up in the city. But forget about it is not necessary. It is more convenient to fight there, of course, tanks from the second base, because their art shoots this site well enough. With their first fellow in the class a little worse.

As for the battles of medium tanks and Fri, the situation here is quite contradictory. They are fighting mostly on the bottom of the map. And the tanks from the second base, make an ambush at the bottom, and from the first to the point of the plateau. You can disguise yourself here anywhere, the blessing of bushes and buildings is complete. In general, from this side of the map the battle is rather spontaneous - some sit in the bushes, others are cut at the bottom of the dell, hiding behind the houses and using the terrain.

Who on this map is not very comfortable, so it's an art. A lot of shelters, a complex terrain, many houses and buildings. All this greatly complicates the work of the art workers. In addition, not so long ago, all the art began to appear below, that lovers to shoot on tracers only in joy. After all, everyone knows where the enemy hid.

Do not forget that the enemy should always be surprised. Surprised - then won! Let's try. Despite the fairly transparent tactics, we will consider it in detail and introduce a small highlight. To the point of the hill you can send 2 strands and 1 pt. This will be enough to keep the enemy in this direction. The city must go to the bulk of the strings, covered with artillery fire and fri-sau. As for Fri, at least one of them should stand in the square G4-G5, which would protect the art from the light. And one weight on F6. There he will cover Fri from blow to the flank and be able to lighten the enemy's light and medium tanks. Most of the team's medium tanks travel to the plateau points and the slope, where they link the enemy's battle to the enemy. Oh, yes, a highlight! From my experience, I know that the best tank breakthrough than the "seven", probably now is not. Use it better when paired with 2 medium tanks (best T-54 ). These three can break a lot of people. On the same route can pass and rush teams. You will say that such a maneuver of the troika is very stubborn and they are putting their boards under attack. And still you will be right. But only if you decided on such a maneuver not at the beginning of the battle, but after taking up positions with enemy tanks. This is the effect of surprise, the enemies just get up and creep into places, and they have under the base of IS-7 and 2 T-54! The fact that the enemy must take up positions and think will forget, but will concentrate all the fire on these three, while their teammates will move on.
