Medication Description: Lofenal (Lophenalum)
LOFENAL (Lophenalum). para- [bis- (b-Chlorethyl) -amino] -phenacetyl-D, L-phenylalanine.
White odorless crystalline powder. Practically insoluble in water, easily soluble in alcohol.
Lofenal is a cytostatic drug similar in chemical structure and chemotherapeutic action to sarkolysin. A little less effect on blood formation.
Applied with Hodgkin's disease, chronic lymphatic leukemia, ovarian cancer.
Assign inside (daily after meals) in the form of tablets. The usual dose for adults is 0.6 -1, 2 g per day (10 -20 mg / kg). Course dose 30 - 50 g.
Possible side effects and contraindications are the same as for other bis- (b-chloroethyl) -amines.
Form release: pills to 0.3 grams in a package of 100 pieces.
