Description of the medicine: Lofenal (Lophenalum)
LOFENAL (Lophenalum). para- [bis- (b-chloroethyl) amino] phenacetyl-D, L-phenylalanine.
Flavourless white crystalline powder. Practically insoluble in water, easily soluble in alcohol.
Lofenal is a cytostatic drug similar in chemical structure and chemotherapeutic effect to sarcolysin. Slightly less affects blood formation.
Used for lymphogranulomatosis, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, ovarian cancer.
Assign inside (daily after meals) in the form of tablets. The usual adult dose is 0.6 -1, 2 g per day (10 -20 mg / kg). Heading dose 30 - 50 g.
Possible side effects and contraindications are the same as for other bis (b-chloroethyl) amines.
Release form: tablets of 0.3 g in a package of 100 pieces.
