MAGNESIUM HYDROXIDE (Magnesium hydroxide).

Formed by the interaction of magnesium oxide with water.
Along with antacid, has a laxative effect.
Applied with gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer, chronic gastritis with normal and increased secretion, as well as constipation.
As an antacid, they are administered orally at 0.3-1.2 g 4 times a day (1 or 3 hours after a meal), as a laxative, 0.8-1.8 g at bedtime.
Possible side effects are allergic reactions.
Sometimes it violates the absorption of tetracyclines, iron preparations, glucocorticosteroids, digoxin, theophylline, anticholinesterase substances.
Method of production: tablets of 0.3 g (N. 24); 8.3% suspension for oral administration in bottles of 125 and 300 ml.
