Description of the medicine: Fluticasone (Flunicasone)
S- (Fluoromethyl) 6α, 9-difluoro-11β, 17-dioxi-16α-methyl-3-oxoandrosta-1,4-diene-17β-carbotiate, 17-propionate.
Synonyms: Cutivate, Flixonase, Flixotide, Cutivate, Flixonase, Flixotide.
White or off-white powder. It is practically insoluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol and methanol, and good in dimethyl sulfoxide and dimethylformamide.
Trifluorinated glucocorticosteroid for topical use.
Assign externally - for inflammatory and allergic skin diseases, intranasally - for rhinitis, inhalation - for bronchial asthma.
A thin layer is applied to the skin in the form of 0.05% ointment or cream 2 times a day. The drug has a pronounced therapeutic effect and relatively rarely causes atrophic changes in the skin.
Inhalation is prescribed for adults and children over 16 years of age at 0.1-1 mg, for children over 4 years of age - 0.05-0.1 mg 2 times a day.
Spray for intranasal administration is administered 0.1 mg once a day (in the morning), for children under 12 years old - 0.05 mg in each nasal passage.
When using the drug, the following are possible: creams and ointments - burning and itching at the site of application, hypopigmentation and hypertrichosis; aerosol for inhalation - candidiasis of the oral mucosa, hoarseness of the voice; spray for intranasal administration - irritation of the nasopharynx.
Method of release: metered-dose aerosol (0.025; 0.05; 0.125 and 0.25 mg / dose; 60 and 120 doses); powder for inhalation in rotadisks (0.05; 0.1; 0.25 and 0.5 mg / dose; 4 doses); metered-dose spray for intranasal administration (0.05 mg / dose; 60 and 120 doses); 0.005% ointment and 0.05% cream in tubes of 15 g.
Seretide Multidisk. Dosage powder, in 1 dose of which contains 0.05 mg of salmeterol and 0.1; 0.25 and 0.5 mg of fluticasone.
