Description of the medicine: Gepon (Heponum)
Synthetic peptide consisting of 14 amino acids.
White amorphous powder. Easily soluble in water.
It has an immunomodulatory effect (stimulates the production of α- and β-interferons and antibodies, mobilizes and activates macrophages). It also has antiviral (inhibits the replication of viruses) and anti-inflammatory (inhibits the production of cytokines) properties.
It is prescribed for immunodeficiency states (including HIV infection), as well as for inflammatory diseases of the mucous membranes and skin.
Apply inside and topically.
Inside appoint adults and children over 12 years of 0.002-0.01 g (2-10 mg) 1-2 times a day.
Locally used in the form of a 0.02-0.04% solution for treating mucous membranes and skin 1 time per day, for irrigation and lotions (for vulvovaginitis, cervicitis, urethritis in women), for introduction into the urethra (for urethritis in men).
The main contraindication: age up to 12 years.
Release form: lyophilized powder in bottles of 0.001; 0.002 and 0.01 g (1, 2 and 10 mg). Before use, the contents of the vial are dissolved in 5 ml of sterile water for injection or 0.85% sodium chloride solution.
