SODIUM CLODRONATE (Clodronate disodium).
Disodium salt of dichloromethanediphosphonic acid.
Synonym: Bonefos, Bonefos.
Inhibits bone resorption.
Used to reduce bone damage and pain in osteoporosis in cancer patients (with multiple myeloma and other malignant tumors with bone metastases).
Assign intravenously and inside.
In the first 3-5 days, 0.3 g (3-5 mg / kg) is administered intravenously (drip) in 500 ml of isotonic sodium chloride solution or 5% glucose per day. Then ingested 0.8 g (2 capsules) 3 times a day in 60 days courses.
With the introduction of a vein possible proteinuria; ingestion - gastrointestinal disorders.
