Description of the medicine: Dietiksim (Diaethyximum)
It is a cholinesterase reactivator. Has structural similarity with isonitrosine. Penetrates through the blood-brain barrier. It has a weak anticholinergic effect.
Used with atropine or other anticholinergics for poisoning with organophosphorus compounds.
Intramuscularly administered as a 10% aqueous solution. At the initial signs of poisoning - 0.3 - 0.5 g (3 - 5 ml) of this drug and 0.002 - 0.003 g (2 - 3 ml of a 0.1% solution of atropine sulfate. If necessary, repeat the injection 2 to 3 times at intervals of 3-4 h In case of moderate poisoning and severe poisoning, the dose of diethixime and atropine is increased.A combination of diethixime and dipiroxim is advisable.
Release form: 10% solution in ampoules of 5 ml.
