Description of the medicine: Validol (Validolum)
Menthol 25% solution in isovaleric acid menthyl ester.
Transparent oily colorless liquid with a menthol odor. Very soluble in alcohol. It is practically insoluble in water.
The action is close to menthol. It has a calming effect on the central nervous system, and also has a moderate reflex vasodilating effect.
Take 4 to 5 drops for mild attacks of angina pectoris, neurosis, hysteria, and also as an antiemetic in case of sea and air sickness. Apply on a piece of sugar and keep in your mouth until completely resorbed. Also available in the form of tablets containing validol (0.06 g, which corresponds to 3 drops) and sugar, and in the form of light yellow capsules containing 0.05 or 0.1 g of the drug. The capsule with validol is kept in the mouth (under the tongue) until completely dissolved. Single dose for adults: 1 - 2 capsules of 0.05 g or 1 capsule of 0.1 g; daily dose - usually 4 capsules of 0.05 g or 2 capsules of 0.1 g. If necessary, the daily dose may be increased.
When taking validol in isolated cases, slight glaring, lacrimation, dizziness are possible; these phenomena usually pass quickly on their own.
Topically apply a 5 - 10% alcohol solution of validol to soothe skin itching.
Method of release: in bottles of 5 ml; tablets of 0.06 g in a package of 10 pieces; in capsules of 0.05 and 0.1 g of 20 pieces per pack.
Storage: in a cool place in a well-sealed container; capsules - at a temperature not lower than + 5 'C and not higher than + 20' C.

DS 1 tablet 2 to 3 times a day; keep under the tongue until completely resorbed
