Description of the medicine: Finalgon (Finalgon)
Colorless (or tan) ointment with the smell of lemon oil. Contains 0.4% vanillylnonamide and 2.5% nicotinic acid 2-butoxyethyl ester.
Both substances cause a prolonged expansion of capillaries and flushing of the skin (see Nikoflex cream), when applied to the skin they have a distracting, analgesic, anti-inflammatory effect.
The ointment is prescribed for muscle and joint pain of various origins, tenosynovitis, lumbago, neuritis, sciatica, sports injuries.
Apply topically (applied to the skin). First (first use) squeeze from the tube onto the applicator (plastic plate) no more than 0.5 cm of ointment. This amount is sufficient for application to a surface with a diameter of approximately 5 to 7 cm. Using an applicator, the ointment is carefully rubbed into the skin of the affected area and covered with a woolen cloth. The action of the ointment develops after a few minutes, the maximum effect appears after 20 - 30 minutes. With repeated use, the reaction to the ointment may decrease, which requires an increase in the dose. In all cases, the dose should be individual.
Ointment is used 2 to 3 times a day, the course of treatment is not more than 10 days.
If a lot of ointment gets on the skin, the excess should be removed with a napkin moistened with vegetable oil. After each use of the ointment, wash your hands thoroughly with soap. When ointment enters the mucous membranes, a burning sensation occurs.
Ointment should not be applied to damaged skin and mucous membranes. Patients with sensitive skin after applying the ointment to take warm baths are not recommended.
Possible individual intolerance. In these cases, the ointment is canceled.
Release form: in aluminum tubes of 30 or 50 g.
Storage: in a cool, dry place.
