ABC of sign language along with Ukrainian stars
Dactylology - (dr.-Greek δάκτυλος - finger + dr.-Greek λόγος - teaching) is a kind of speech that reproduces by the fingers of the fingers the orthographic form of the speech word, because it uses the dactylic alphabet.
Thus dactylology combines the signs of both oral speech, because it is used for operative communication, and written, because it has the form of a sequence of signs in accordance with the norms of spelling.
Sometimes hearing people take the finger alphabet for the sign language of the deaf and dumb. However, these are different things: while the finger alphabet transmits the sounds of speech (letter by letter), sign signs represent whole words.

The photo project "Starry Alphabet" was created to draw attention to the problem of deaf people and those who lose hearing - and this is more than 3 million Ukrainian. We want to tell to all the deaf and those who lose their hearing: "We hear you! We feel you! ".
The goal of Starry Alphabet is to draw attention to the topic of hearing loss and adaptation of deaf people. According to statistics, every ninth Ukrainian loses hearing and often does not know about it. More than 250,000 Ukrainian are spoken in the language, but they are not taught in schools even at the basic level. Founders of "Feel" Lyudmila and Andrey Pyshny believe that it is possible to change. That one day everyone will know how to say "hi" and "thank you" in a gesture, and everyone who loses hearing can find understanding and support.
Thanks to all the participants of the project! Your support is very important!
