1 And the Lord said to Noah, You and your whole family go into the ark, for I saw you righteous before Me in this generation;
2 and take all pure cattle, seven each, male and female, and two unclean cattle, two each, male and female;
3 also of the seven birds of heaven, male and female, to preserve the tribe for the whole earth,
4 for in seven days I will pour rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights; and I will destroy all that I have created from the face of the earth.

5 Noah did everything that the Lord commanded him.
6 Noah was six hundred years old when a flood of water came to the earth.
7 And Noah came in and his sons, and his wife, and the wives of his sons with him into the ark from the waters of the flood.
eight And from cattle clean and from cattle unclean, and from all reptiles on the earth
nine in a pair, male and female, they entered Noah into the ark, as God had commanded Noah.
ten After seven days the flood waters came to the earth.

eleven In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on this day all the sources of the great abyss opened, and the windows of heaven opened;
12 and it rained upon the earth forty days and forty nights.

13 On this very day Noah entered the ark, and Shem, Ham and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and the wife of Noah, and his three sons' wives with them.
fourteen They, and all animals according to their kind, and all cattle according to their kind, and all reptiles creeping on the earth, according to their kind, and all flying according to their kind, all birds, all winged,
fifteen and they entered Noah into the ark, a pair of all flesh in which there is a spirit of life;
16 and those who entered the male and female sexes of all flesh entered, as God had commanded him. And the Lord shut him up.

17 And the flood lasted forty days on the earth, and the water multiplied, and lifted up the ark, and it rose above the earth;
18 water intensified and multiplied greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the waters.
19 And the water on the earth intensified tremendously, so that all the high mountains, which are under the whole heaven, were covered;
20 fifteen cubits water rose above them, and mountains were covered.

21 And all flesh moving on the earth, and birds, and cattle, and animals, and all the reptiles crawling on the ground, and all people, lost their lives;
22 all that had the breath of the spirit of life in their nostrils on land died.
23 Every creature that was on the surface of the earth was destroyed; from man to cattle, and reptiles, and birds of the air, everything was destroyed from the earth, only Noah remained and what [was] with him in the ark.
24 Water intensified on the earth for one hundred and fifty days.
