1 And the Lord said unto Moses, saying:
2 announce to Aaron and tell him: when you light the lamps, seven lamps should be lit on the front of the lamp.
3 Aaron did just that: on the front of the lamp he lit his lamps, as the Lord commanded Moses.
4 And here is the device of the lamp: it was minted of gold, from its stem to the flowers minted; in the image that the Lord showed Moses, he made a lamp.

5 And the Lord said unto Moses, saying:
6 take the Levites from among the sons of Israel and cleanse them;
7 but to cleanse them, do this to them: sprinkle them with cleansing water, and let them shave off their whole body with a razor and wash their clothes, and be clean;
eight and let them take a calf and a grain offering to it, wheat flour mixed with oil, and sacrifice another calf for sin;
nine and bring the Levites before the tent of meeting. and gather the whole company of the sons of Israel
ten and bring their Levites before the Lord, and the sons of Israel lay their hands on the Levites;
eleven Aaron, however, let him make a consecration over the Levites before the Lord from the sons of Israel, so that they would serve the Lord;
12 Let the Levites lay their hands on the head of the bulls, and sacrifice one for the sin, and the other as a burnt offering to the Lord, to purify the Levites;
13 and set the Levites before Aaron and before his sons, and make their consecration over them unto the Lord;
fourteen And so they separated the Levites from the sons of Israel, so that the Levites would be mine.
fifteen After this the Levites will come in to serve the tabernacle of the congregation, when you will cleanse them and make their consecration over them; for they are given unto me from the sons of Israel:
16 Instead of all the first-born of the sons of Israel, who open all kinds of shambles, I take them to Myself;
17 for My all first-born are among the sons of Israel, from man to beast: on the day when I struck all the first-born in the land of Egypt, I sanctified them unto myself
18 and he took the Levites instead of all the first-born from the sons of Israel;
19 and he gave the Levites to Aaron and his sons from among the sons of Israel, so that they would render services for the sons of Israel at the tabernacle of the congregation and serve as a guard for the sons of Israel, so that the sons of Israel would not be defeated when the sons of Israel went to the sanctuary.
20 And so did Moses and Aaron and the whole congregation of the sons of Israel with the Levites: as the Lord commanded Moses about the Levites, so did the sons of Israel with them.
21 And the Levites cleansed and washed their clothes, and Aaron made their consecration over them before the Lord, and Aaron cleansed them to make them clean;
22 after this the Levites entered to send their services in the tent of meeting before Aaron and before his sons. As the Lord commanded Moses about the Levites, so they did to them.
23 And the Lord said unto Moses, saying:
24 here is the [law] of the Levites: from twenty-five years old and above they must enter the service for work at the tabernacle of the congregation,
25 and at the age of fifty they must stop sending work and no longer work:
26 then let them help their brothers to guard the tabernacle of the congregation, and work, let them not work; so do the Levites regarding their ministry.
