Sudden loss of consciousness is accompanied by convulsions and the release of foamy liquid from the mouth. The face turns blue, the pupils do not respond to light. The duration of the seizure is 1-3 minutes, often there is involuntary urination, defecation.
First aid. Do not hold the patient during seizures and transfer to another place. Under the head, put something soft, unfasten the clothes, put a folded handkerchief between the teeth, the edge of the coat, etc. After convulsions, transport the patient home or to a medical institution (see ch. Mental illness).
