Don't force yourself, just follow the diet
Nutrition (physiological act) - maintaining human life and health through food - the process of absorption of food by living organisms to maintain the normal course of physiological processes of life, in particular, to replenish the energy reserve and implement the processes of growth and development. Animals and other heterotrophic organisms must eat in order to survive; their diet and the process of absorption of nutrients depends on the biological class to which they belong. In humans and animals, nutrition is a common daily activity.
The normal course of life processes in the body largely depends on how the human nutrition is organized from the first days of life. Food should contain proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals, as well as water in the required quantities. At the same time, the need for the total number and balance of individual nutritional components primarily depends on age, type of work and living conditions. Physiological (rational) nutrition is usually understood as norms that fully cover all energy expenditures of the body, and for children also provide processes of growth and development. The amount of energy released during the assimilation by the body of a substance is called the calorie content of this product. The absorption of nutrients is different. From mixed foods, proteins are absorbed by 92%, fats - 95%, carbohydrates - 98%. According to the OECD and FAO (2014), cereals are still the main product in the diet of the world’s population, however, in many regions, the share of protein food, fats and sugar is growing in the diet as a result of rising population incomes and the rate of urbanization.
In the modern lifestyle, under the influence of advertising attacks harmful to the health of “food” to talk about normal nutrition is not necessary. Just as it is not necessary to talk about the natural state of consciousness of people. Therefore, nutritional rules that restore immunity are absolutely necessary.
1. Eat to live, not live to eat
Nutrition is not an end in itself, but a means to an end. Aware of the Higher Meaning of life and its purpose, you need to eat only healthy products that contribute to the acquisition of the necessary physical and mental qualities for effective action on the Way to achieve the Highest Goal.
2. Hunger is true, and appetite is a lie
Appetite is the desire to eat something tasty. And hunger is, on the one hand, readiness to eat any food (as, for example, after a long walk in nature or after intense physical labor) and, on the other hand, accurate knowledge of what kind of food the body currently needs (high-calorie or vitamin , sweet or salty, liquid or solid, ordinary or unusual - chalk or salt, for example, etc.).
Appetite is the result of long-dissolved feelings and the lack of their willful humility. Food preoccupation or appetite may also be associated with an unconscious desire to “disconnect” from stressful influences, distracted by taste sensations. Similarly, other desires may arise that are not justified by the real needs of the body, for example, the desire for sex, etc. Usually this is due to the mental overload of the modern lifestyle.
Animals only eat when they feel hungry. And man, corrupted by abundance, has long been an exception to this rule of nature.
Exposure and self-control in any life situation free from obsessive addictions and allow you to live with the preservation of the body's natural motivations, achieving complete hunger.
In a state of hunger, an exact intuitive knowledge of the quality of the product necessary for the body is born. Nutrition according to the feeling of hunger in a short time eliminates “excess weight”, helps to cleanse toxins, and returns to a pretty good health. At the same time, nutrition occurs only according to actual need.
It is necessary to stop eating before reaching the feeling of fullness and fullness of the stomach. Filling the stomach to half, you should leave one quarter of its volume for water and one quarter for the free movement of digested food and expanding gases in it.
Often the process of digestion is accompanied by a large expenditure of energy from its existing supply in the body. In cases of overeating or eating indigestible food, a situation often arises when the amount of energy received from a serving of food is comparable to the amount of energy spent by the body on its digestion. Usually in such cases, a person becomes sleepy, lazy after eating, and for a long time after eating feels a breakdown. In addition, overeating is a “shock” burden for the digestive organs and leads to their diseases.
Reducing the amount of food consumed by people partially solves the environmental problem of conserving nature's resources, limiting its overuse and allowing it to recover.
3. The way you drink, the way you live
The human body is largely composed of water. And metabolism depends on its quantity and quality. By controlling the drinking regime, you can have a significant impact on the internal rhythms and condition of the body.
Many people think that they get fat from a lot of water, and try to drink as little as possible. In fact, they do not get fat from water, but because they take too much salt with food, which holds water in the body.
Water is the juice of life. And without enough water, plants, for example, dry out. Or vice versa, they bloom when they have enough water. A person, of course, is not a plant, but his metabolism in the same way depends on the required amount of water in the body.
In addition, people become overweight due to a violation of the balance of consumption and energy consumption - the amount of food eaten and calories spent on active physical and mental activity.
In countries with a temperate climate, the daily water requirement of the body is 1.5-2 liters in the winter and 2-3 liters in the summer.
By controlling the drinking regime, one can influence the occurrence of hunger. And depending on the individual way of life and circumstances, it is possible to provoke its early occurrence, or, conversely, a later arrival. So, if it becomes clear that the opportunity to eat will appear at a strictly defined time and then there will not be such an opportunity, and hunger is unlikely to come by this time, then you can stimulate its appearance by drinking half a glass of water every 15-20 minutes. Then hunger will appear faster. If, on the contrary, hunger has already appeared, and there is still no opportunity to eat, then you should not drink water at all. Or you can drink a little brew of herbs. This dulls the feeling of hunger before eating.
In any case, it is better to drink half an hour before eating half a glass of water or a brew of herbs. And after eating, drinking water or brewing herbs and washing the mouth and esophagus should limit its amount to avoid dilution of the gastric juice and impaired digestion.
4. Drink solid food and eat liquid
In the process of digestion, the interaction of food with saliva is important. Saliva is an active biochemical substance that is absolutely necessary for the full digestion of food. And in order for it to stand out and participate in the digestion process, solid food must be chewed to the state of a liquid mixture with saliva, without the remaining unsaturated pieces of food. And liquid food (milk, soups, compotes, juices, decoctions of herbs, etc.) need not be rushed to swallow, but first do “tasting” movements with the tongue and jaw, mixing food with saliva. Only then can you swallow it.
Drinking food with water does not replace the digestive function of saliva, dilutes the gastric juice and does not contribute to proper digestion.
5. Enjoy an empty stomach
You need to live in peace. And when you eat, you don’t need to rush or try to eat more, even if you eat a delicacy. Food should remain in the mouth until its taste is felt. This technique allows you to get the maximum taste experience from a minimum of food. Using this technique, it is possible, on the one hand, to enjoy the taste sensations for a long time and, on the other hand, to be saturated with the third part of the usual amount of food. Since the saturation of the centers of the brain depends on the number of received signals from the receptors of the oral cavity, teeth, etc., and not on the feeling of fullness of the stomach. This technique avoids overeating, slagging and obesity.
6. Do not chase two hares
What is done without distraction is performed much more qualitatively than what is accompanied by "parallel" activities.
No need to combine food with something that distracts attention from it. For example, with reading, talking, watching TV, etc. When distracting attention, the brain centers do not receive enough information signals about the quality and quantity of food consumed. This leads to gluttony, poor chewing, improper combination of products and overeating with all the ensuing consequences.
When eating, you need to think about food, about its excellent qualities, the benefits and enjoyment it gives, receiving joy and maximum positive emotions. Eating is an indivisible ritual, a prayer to the Higher Ideal.
7. Morning begins in the evening
No need to eat less than 4 hours before bedtime. And better - 7 hours before bedtime. This will seem strange to many. But there are a number of good reasons for this proposal.
Firstly, food is normally digested and moves in the stomach and intestines, only while a person is awake and moving. And most importantly - while his body is in an upright position, the direction of the gravitational component contributes to the easy movement of food in the intestine. If you eat before bedtime, then during sleep, when all life processes are inhibited, the gravitational component, directed perpendicular to the body of a lying person, does not help the movement of food in the intestine, which leads to its stagnation and fermentation, slagging of the body, formation on the walls intestines of fecal stones, an increase in the volume of the intestines and abdomen, worsening of intestinal motility, the development of diseases of the digestive system, poor sleep and insufficient recovery over night. And in the morning - to a difficult awakening, puffiness, bad breath and other complications.
And secondly, the proposed meal time before bedtime is associated with the actual rate of digestion of certain foods. Carbohydrate foods (vegetables, fruits, cereals, etc.) are completely digested and pass through the intestines in about 4 hours. And protein foods (meat, legumes, nuts, etc.) - in 7 hours.
In general, to stimulate a powerful metabolism, increase stamina, physical strength, improve health and increase life expectancy, eating once a day is the best - in the afternoon.
No person, if he is not sick or “crippled” by civilized habits, will not want to eat in the morning - right after sleep. A weak need for food may appear no earlier than an hour after waking up, but it does not closely resemble hunger, which really takes effect no earlier than 4 hours after sleep, or even later. The following hunger rarely appears before bedtime. And what makes people constantly “preoccupied with food” is, as a rule, not hunger, but a reaction to stress in modern living conditions.
8. Do not force yourself
Violence against oneself is just as harmful as it is towards others.
One should never make “sudden movements” in one’s life, and it’s much more useful to soften contrasts.
If there is a need to change the usual diet and exclude any foods from it, then it is better to do it smoothly and gradually, so that the metabolism can be rebuilt and the “pressure” of habits decreases.
You never need to limit your habits immediately, by means of strict willful prohibitions and suppression (violence). This approach is aimed at combating the effect, not the cause.
A strong-willed prohibition does not eliminate the roots of habits (addictions), but rather nourishes and strengthens them. When he acts against a habit, then (the action is equal to counteraction) the blocks in memory that store the “attributes” of the habit are fueled by the energy of attention and amplified. This leads to an increase in the desire to eat a forbidden product (like the water of a river on which a dam was placed, but its source has not dried up). Such an erroneous approach will sooner or later lead to an “explosion” and overeating of the forbidden product in an amount much larger than if a person continued to eat it as usual.
Habits are in memory. First of all, one should act at the level of attention management.
If attention returns to blocks of memory that contain sensual information about the taste of products for which a habit (or addiction) is formed, then you need to calmly, gently and unobtrusively distract from these blocks and switch to something else, without a trace of memories. Without energizing attention, the information in the memory weakens and fades away (the source of the river dries up). So you need to gradually replace the old habits in your memory with new ones that contain information that this food is not for you and it is generally not edible, like straw or earth. Such changes in consciousness require some time and active self-education, but this is a sure way to success.
9. Purity is a sign of divinity
To maintain health, it is absolutely necessary to maintain not only external, but also internal cleanliness, which largely depends on the quality of food and water, as well as on the processes of natural and special cleansing of the body.
Any owner of the car is well aware that its operation depends on the cleanliness of gasoline, oil and air in the engine. And of course, he knows that the engine life directly depends on the content of foreign particles in the engine crankcase oil, and its power is determined by the quality of gasoline. But the fact that the human body also needs clean fuel, lubrication and regular preventive cleaning is very difficult for many to understand. They smoke, drink, take drugs, waste life force through sex, eat foods that, by natural criteria, are not food at all, etc. They have no time or laziness. They just have no time to love themselves, but then there is when to strive for what is prestigious (but stupid). But a living organism needs much less than a car, because it is much more economical and fights for itself. It has self-cleaning and self-healing mechanisms. And if he doesn’t even interfere, then you won’t have to change the details for many years. And if you help him a little, he will “serve faithfully” to a very old age.
The Yoga Tradition has accumulated the richest experience of cleansing measures for the restoration, recovery and strengthening of the body, which in the World is borrowed by all who are engaged in healing - from single enthusiasts to the largest medical corporations that cultivate rehabilitation methods. At present, a lot of special and popular literature has already been published, where you can find answers to all questions about special methods of cleaning the body.
As for the natural self-cleaning of the body, you need to introduce a regular rule to complete a complete fast every week from 24 to 48 hours. During this period, all digestive organs have a good rest, self-clean and recover. This fasting is best done on weekends, when it is possible to avoid stressful situations and control the state of the psyche, that is, to be calm. In order to better cleanse and normalize metabolism, fasting can be accompanied by drinking water or decoctions of herbs.
In special cases, starvation can be “dry,” that is, without drinking at all.
If the body is very slagged and weakened, there are diseases of the internal organs and the metabolism is already impaired, then this can be fixed by prolonged fasting - from 3 to 50 days. But this can only be done after preliminary detailed theoretical training and under the guidance of specialists.
Speaking about the purity of food and the purity of consciousness, one must remember not only the purity of food, but also the purity of the methods of obtaining food. The purity of the “subtle” causal plans of human existence depends on this.
10. What you eat is what you are
An organism is formed from those elements that enter it. And he gains the qualities of these same elements.
Eat only fresh, clean, palatable, lively, vitamin and energy-rich foods. Forget about what in the West people with experience have long called “junk food” (“junk food” or “empty calories”) - about all these chips, hamburgers, canned sausages, mayonnaises, etc.
It is foolish to strive to consume expensive and scarce, which means “prestigious” products in as large quantities as possible. Indeed, at the same time, it is not the body that is nourished, but the self-asserting feeling of one's own exclusiveness. As a rule, there is no benefit for the body from such products, more often one harm.
Already many in the world have begun to realize that it is truly prestigious to be healthy and strong, to look beautiful and always feel good.
By managing the diet, you can consciously influence the formation of your body, the state of feelings, consciousness and cause-effect relationships (Fate). This is a fact verified by centuries and the practical experience of many natural scientists.
11. Do not combine incompatible
The digestion of various products occurs due to various biochemical reactions: acidic or alkaline. The combination of such products in one meal leads to acid-base neutralization and the formation of useless salts, which greatly complicates the digestion process.
In order to avoid such phenomena, the compatibility of products in one meal should be taken into account. For this, many special compatibility theories have been developed. As an example, we offer a product compatibility table compiled by Andrei Sidersky based on the work of Wenceslas Yevtimov, the Bulgarian author of Yoga books, and other literary sources.
- Starchy vegetables: potatoes, old carrots, old beets, pumpkin, turnips, rutabaga, etc.
- Cereals: grains, cereals, flour and products with its content, sprouted cereals.
- Non-starchy vegetables: herbs, young root vegetables, white roots, cabbage, lettuce, radish, radish, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc.
- Protein products: legumes, nuts, eggs, caviar, etc.
- Fresh berries and fruits.
- Dairy products, except ghee.
- Meat and fish (preferably gradually eliminated from the diet).
- Vegetable fats and ghee.
- Melons and bananas.
- Chocolate and cocoa (in limited quantities at a large expenditure of energy).
- Dried fruits.
12. "Dogma is not" - says the first dogma
When determining the diet and diet, of course, one should take into account all the above prescriptions and rules, but one should never forget to focus primarily on well-being and be guided by an intuitive sense of common sense.
